COMMON DENTAL DISEASES, PREVALENCE AND THEIR CAUSES AND DENTAL NEED FOR RURAL COMMUNITY OF PAKISTA
Periodontal disease is a commonest dental ailment inflicting the younger population in Pakistan and if uncontrolled, it involves the older people. Various research studies of W.H.O. and the study of the author show that most of the population from 12 to 17 years is suffering from different grade of periodontal disease. Hardly there is a person who is free from this ailment.

Dental Health is concerned not with information about the oral health of the public in general, but with matters relating to provision of dentistry by the State and representatives of the public, concerning the treatment and prevention of the disease. Doubtless this is unavoidable. A complacent attitude of the Government of the “People”, towards large amount of dental diseases hitting all types of rural and urban population, will, of course, minimize the distresses.

Dental Public Health, is a branch of community medicine based upon collective efforts, to check the disease from the community and to adopt measures for prevention, treatment and education including the research activities, because the preventive measures have been assessed for their efficacy and simplicity in their implementation both by the individual and community as a whole.
EDUCATION : NEW LOOK IN SYSTEM
Education, as far has not attracted the vital persons in Pakistan, except a few changes, are being made here and there; but object and need for education is still to be prophesied. In myself fulfilling manner, I suggest a few changes – which to me are obvious, a key to success. I shall start from Para-Medical and Engineering. How brain drain takes place, without our knowledge?
HYPERPLASIA OF GUMS DURING PREGNANCY
Several pregnant mothers complained of swollen red and easily bled gums during pregnancy at my clinic and they were treated accordingly both with local and systemic therapy, but increased influx of such patients struck me for genuine study and these 42 pregnant mothers were examined clinically and prescribed charts were filled. These charts show local and general examinations along with a short history of number of total pregnancies menopausal period or any other disease, along with nutritional value, and general habits.

SAFE WATER SUPPLY AND INFANT MORTALITY RATE
Rural areas of Pakistan are deprived of provision of safe and ample supply of drinking water, it is limited about 13.9 % and sanitation facilities to 9.79 %. The Government is making termendous contribution like in budget of (1986-90) Rs. 11754501 for urban and Rs. 5710 million for rural areas.
The following are reasons: –
Government Machinery: Lack of the interest of Government machinery / administration.
Lack of accountability for faults by the Government.
Lack of interest, lack of potentially, dynamicity and integrity of executive head (Principal).
